This booklet constitutes the complaints of the 3rd annual convention on consumer Modeling, version and Personalization, UMAP 2011, held in Girona, Spain, in July 2011. This convention emanated from the merger of the profitable biannual person Modeling (UM) and Adaptive Hypermedia (AH) convention sequence in 2009.
The 27 lengthy papers and six brief papers awarded including 15 doctoral consortium papers, and three panel papers have been conscientiously reviewed and chosen from 164 submissions. The tutorials and workshops have been equipped in topical sections on designing adaptive social functions, semantic adaptive social internet, and designing and comparing new iteration consumer modeling.
